Isio-Maya is a NYC native who received her dance training at The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and The Harlem School of the Arts. Her passion for dance transcended into other mediums of art and entertainment such as modeling, acting, and musical theater. In 2018, Isio-Maya was selected to be a National Ambassador for Brown Girls Do Ballet where she currently serves as a role model and mentor to younger Brown Ballerinas. Shortly after, Isio-Maya matriculated to NYU Tisch School of the Arts to pursue a BFA degree in dance. While being a fulltime student, at just 18 years old, she became the youngest African-American model for Maybelline New York; featured in Maybelline’s ’Colossal Mascara 2020’ campaign. Following in 2021, Isio-Maya partnered with BLOCH Dancewear, to create their first line of tonal pointes in an effort to push the agenda of a more inclusive dance industry. Upon graduating NYU Tisch in May 2022, Isio-Maya will make her theatrical debut in GODDESS the musical at The Berkeley Repertory Theater. With a career path inspired by the illustrious, Debbie Allen, Isio-Maya is determined to create a household name for herself while giving back to countless communities.
